private horror multimuse, wrought by rick.

RULES

This is an independent roleplay blog for several horror characters. Below are a few rules that I’d greatly appreciate you reading & following.INTRODUCTION
🎃 Hi, I’m Rick! I use they/them pronouns and I am 25.
🎃 OOC posts will be tagged as “🎬 || time for bear. (ooc.) || 🎬”
TAGS
🎃 This blog will likely be rife with triggering content; please be aware of that before following.
🎃 That being said, I will do my best to tag any triggers I can think of as they come up. Please let me know if I miss anything or if you need anything tagged!
🎃 Triggers are tagged as “trigger /”
INTERACTIONS
🎃 DO NOT INTERACT if you are racist, ableist, LGBTQIA+phobic, exclusionist, a TERF, an MAP, or anything else fitting under that umbrella.
🎃 DO NOT INTERACT if you ship pedophilic or incestuous ships.
🎃 I have the Big Anxiety. If I ever take a million years getting back to you when we’re messaging, that’s probably why. That being said, I love making friends through RPing, so feel free to hit me up (especially if we’ve had a few interactions already)!
🎃 Feel free to send me memes or random in-character asks at any time! Even if the memes are a billion years old and I have to scroll all the way back through my blog to find it, I’ll appreciate the hell out of it. I love interactions ALWAYS.
🎃 When it comes to length, PLEASE don’t feel obligated to match. I have a tendency to write tediously long replies, and I could work with a one-liner response. I seriously don’t mind.
🎃 When it comes to formatting, please let me know if you need me to use bigger text! I usually use smaller text as a default, but I’m more than willing to accommodate for anybody who needs me to.
🎃 Please be patient with me, and don’t pester me for replies.
🎃 Do not reblog my threads if you are not involved in them.
🎃 When it comes to rule passwords, I might not send them in for my own comfort. That said, I do read everyone’s rule pages before I follow (and even afterwards/while interacting just to be sure I’m doing everything right), so y'all are good, trust me.
SELECTIVITY
🎃 Mutually exclusive and selective; I tend to follow blogs with characters that I know. I do not follow personal blogs. There are exceptions to every rule, but this will generally be my stance.
🎃 Absolutely up for interacting with OC’s; I just need an accessible about page.
🎃 If we are not mutuals, do not ask me to roleplay with you. Feel free to send magic anons, anonymous messages, or messages in general that don’t involve pestering me for a thread. If you pester me about roleplaying, and continue to do so after I tell you to stop, I will block you.
🎃 Obviously, I don’t mind doubles. This is a multimuse, they’re kind of unavoidable. That said, if you wanna pull a clone heist or have our double muses be twins, I’m ALWAYS down.
🎃 If you post only sexual content, please don’t follow me.
OPERATION
🎃 I will NOT kill your muse unless I have express permission in advance to do so.
🎃 This blog will be multi-ship and crossover-friendly; when it comes to ships, let me know if you’re uncomfortable with how a relationship with my muse is progressing, and I’ll accommodate.
🎃 There will be no sexual content on this blog. I’m not comfortable with it.
SHIPPING
🎃 I am 100% shipping trash. If you come to me with a pairing in mind, there is a 99% chance I’ll write it with you.
🎃 That being said, I prefer to have a few threads with our characters written in advance, and there must be chemistry between them.
🎃 There will be NO ships with characters who are minors.
🎃 Please read and respect the sexual & romantic orientations of my muses.
A NOTE ON CALLOUTS:
🎃 I will NOT be engaging with callout posts in any way. This will mostly be for my own mental health; RPing is meant to be for fun, and I don’t want to freak out every time I see one on my dash.
🎃 If someone I am interacting with is genuinely dangerous, and has done actual harm, please tell me.
Alrighty! I’m sure this made me sound super harsh, but I swear, I am but an anxious nerd. Have fun, y'all!

MICHAEL MYERS

NAME: Michael Myers
HEIGHT: 5'10"
BIRTHDAY: 10/19/1957
GENDER: male
PRONOUNS: he/him
ORIENTATION: aromantic asexual
OCCUPATION: boogeyman

NOTE: Michael Myers is a character whose interpretation differs widely between every movie incarnation; as such, I'll be pulling bits and pieces from each one and putting them all together. (garfielf vc) It's what I do.Born into a somewhat dysfunctional family, Michael didn't have much hope from the beginning; he displayed a number of emotional problems from the get-go, though every single potential warning sign went ignored. The only two people he really had "soft spots" for at this point in time were his mother and his baby sister -- otherwise, he couldn't care if you were dead...in fact, he might prefer it. This sentiment extended to his other family members, including his bratty older sister -- and one fateful Halloween night, he cracked.Judith Myers, his older sister, wound up dead alongside her boyfriend on Halloween night, 1963; Michael was only six years old. This marked the first in an almost neverending series of killings, all perpetrated by Michael Myers in a relentless, decades-long murder spree. After killing Judith, Michael was sent to Smith's Grove Sanitarium, a psychiatric hospital where he was meant to receive treatment for any mental illnesses he might be suffering from; this did him no good, for a number of reasons. The psychiatrist assigned to him -- Samuel Loomis -- was a complete and total bastard. He seemed dead-set on diagnosing Michael Myers as "evil," and leaving it at that.At one point during his confinement, Michael was told that he would "never" be able to leave, a revelation that broke him -- this was one of the many points that drove him to close himself off completely, going completely mute in the process. Combined with a visit from his mother weeks later, during which she brought a picture of his baby sister for him to hold onto, Michael completely snapped. He even stabbed one of the nurses tending to him, a move that traumatized his mother. He never saw her again after that.Fifteen years into his stay at Smith's Grove Sanitarium, Michael finally decided to make his escape. He used the only skills he had at his disposal -- brute strength and murder -- and made his way back to his hometown, Haddonfield, to find his sister.

ABILITIES:

🎃 Teleportation:Although Michael walks everywhere, rest assured, it's only a move made to psychologically fuck with his victims. He'll even pretend to be deterred by obstacles thrown at him just to give his victims a false headstart, when in reality, he can catch them at any time.🎃 Psychic Abilities:This is a power that only manifests with his biological relatives; Michael has a psychic connection to them, and can project himself as a nightmare or as a hallucination, even if they've never seen him before. There's a reason they call him "the boogeyman." The only person who ISN'T related to him that has received one of these visions is his psychiatrist, Loomis.🎃 Strength:Michael possesses superhuman strength; he can carry a tombstone or a person for miles without breaking a sweat, and he can break bones, snap necks, or crush skulls with his bare hands.🎃 Durability:Michael has an insanely high pain tolerance, and can endure any amount of damage inflicted upon him.🎃 Immortality:Michael Myers cannot die. He has theoretically died several times now, through a variety of methods -- bullets, fire, decapitation, you name it. Every single time, he comes back the very next year. He is a relentless force -- the only way to truly end his reign of terror is to let him get what he wants, which is to end his bloodline.

HEADCANONS & TRIVIA:

  • Michael Myers doesn't have many weaknesses, but pulling off his mask is a surefire way to disarm him. If it is somehow taken off, he will not recover until his face is covered again.

MICHAEL MYERS VERSES

FIFTEEN YEARS IN A SANITARIUM:

A verse for Michael's years spent within the confines of Smith's Grove Sanitarium. He is initially open with his psychiatrist, although he is clueless about the circumstances leading to his containment, which makes his therapy sessions ultimately useless. Michael eventually closes himself off completely, even going mute in the process.

THE NIGHT HE CAME HOME:

After fifteen years, Michael is "beckoned" to his hometown with one objective in mind -- finding his surviving baby sister, who has since been adopted and given a new name: Laurie Strode. He murders a number of people along the way to reach his end-goal, including her friends and adoptive parents.

THE RETURN OF MICHAEL MYERS:

Halloween IV verse; with Laurie out of the picture (due to an accident, ironically enough), Michael sets his sights on a new target -- his niece, Jamie Lloyd.

20 YEARS LATER:

Twenty years after the events of the events of Halloween I & II, Michael finds his sister again. She'd faked her death several years ago and begun living under a false name several states away, but Michael still managed to find her -- and he was still determined to hunt her down.

FACE YOUR FATE:

A verse for the 2018 version of Halloween and "Halloween Kills;" forty years have passed since Laurie survived Michael's devastating massacre on Halloween night, and Michael has since been institutionalized yet again. Everything goes wrong when a transfer between facilities leads to Michael escaping once more, allowing him to pursue his sister and her extended family all over again -- this time, though, Laurie is ready for him.

JASON & FRIENDS:

Affectionately based on this fan-made cartoon, Michael is part of a rag-tag group of reformed murderers and supernatural horrors who just kind of chill together. They stick to a set of rules that keeps them from harming people (or doing anything "inappropriate," courtesy of both Jason and Michael's shared distaste for The Nasty (tm)). Despite being a group of "monsters," they're all pretty friendly...for the most part. Michael is probably the most standoffish (and occasionally cruel) one of them all.

JASON VOORHEES

NAME: Jason Voorhees
HEIGHT: 6'5"
BIRTHDAY: 6/13/1946
GENDER: male
PRONOUNS: he/him
ORIENTATION: aromantic asexual
OCCUPATION: killer

Jason's life had a rough start; born with not only severe facial deformities and mental disabilities, he also suffered from Hydrocephalus. This condition came with not only physical symptoms (such as seizures and headaches), but mental, and it impaired his ability to both learn and communicate at the same rate as other kids his age. His mother homeschooled him and kept him isolated from the rest of society; with his mother being the only person he knew, the only one he could trust and depend on, Jason clung to her. When he was eleven years old, his mother took a job at Camp Crystal Lake; she took him along with her, since she didn't have anybody to watch over him in the meantime. The other children at camp bullied him relentlessly for his appearance and his disabilities -- this all culminated when the other children ganged up on him at the docks and tossed him into the lake. Jason, in the words of his own mother, wasn't a very good swimmer. He screamed and begged for help, but nobody heard him. His last words before he succumbed to the depths were a desperate cry for his mother to help him.And then, by some miracle, he found himself ashore just a few hours later. From there, he was at a loss for what to do; he depended on his mother for everything, so he believed that she would come and find him eventually. When she didn't, he jumped to the conclusion that she must have died -- there was no way that she wouldn't look for him otherwise. Jason used what little survival skill he had to live off the land around Camp Crystal Lake, foraging for food and creating a makeshift shelter out of an abandoned shack. He lived there for several years, up until the events of June 13, 1979.On that date (his 33rd birthday, in fact) he noticed a commotion coming from the lake. When he went to investigate, he saw his beloved mother -- the woman he'd believed to be dead for all these years -- get decapitated before his very eyes. Needless to say, his rage knew no bounds. Now, whenever anybody dares to tread upon his ground -- Camp Crystal Lake or the lodges surrounding it -- Jason unleashes his wrath upon them, all in the name of his "unjustly" killed mother.

ABILITIES:

🎃 Stealth / Speed:Despite walking everywhere, Jason can catch up to his victims at an unbelievable pace. He can slink through the shadows undetected if he so chooses, allowing him quick and easy kills. Jason also has an abnormally fast swimming speed, ironically enough.🎃 Strength:Jason possesses superhuman strength; he's crushed skulls with his bare hands, tossed 100+ pound men through windows with no trouble at all, smashed through doors and walls, etc.🎃 Durability:Jason has an insanely high pain tolerance, and can endure any amount of damage inflicted upon him.🎃 Immortality:Jason Voorhees cannot die. He technically has died before, but thanks to the actions of Tommy Jarvis, his corpse was reanimated and he is now an unholy, undead terror.🎃 Weapons Proficiency:Jason's arsenal includes a variety of melee and ranged weaponry, and if need be, he can also improvise using his environment.🎃 Tracking / Hunting:Jason can target and hunt down an individual or group of people for miles, if need be; and he's more than willing to do it if they've wronged him in any way.

HEADCANONS & TRIVIA:

  • Jason has a personal rule against killing the innocent; he refuses to kill animals or children.

  • Jason is mute, and will not be able to communicate verbally, regardless of what verse I use.

JASON VOORHEES VERSES

MOMMY KNOWS BEST:

Childhood verse for Jason; takes place before & during his time at Camp Crystal Lake, before he "died." Jason clings to his mother, his only source of care and comfort in the world, and tries his best to avoid everyone else.

HE DROWNED IN ALL THEIR SINS:

After Jason "drowns," he becomes a hermit in the woods surrounding Camp Crystal Lake. He learns to live off the land and eventually becomes independent, even developing a wide variety of skills along the way. Most of these would come in handy later on, when he started hunting down and killing every single person to trespass upon the camp.

THANK GOD IT'S FRIDAY:

Jason witnesses his mother's death, and it causes him to snap completely; from there on, he's a cold-blooded killer, seeking revenge for his mother's death. Anybody who dares to tread upon his territory may as well consider themselves dead -- he will hunt them down relentlessly, no matter what it takes. This verse takes all movies into account, with the exception of "Jason X" (which is a little too silly for me to take seriously fdsdsdfs) and "Freddy vs. Jason," which I have a separate verse for.

FREDDY VS. JASON:

At some point, Freddy Kreuger hits Jason up with a proposal for them to work together; the teenagers on Elm Street have been "very naughty," according to him, and that's something he knows Jason can't stand. Not knowing any better, Jason follows his orders obediently -- up until Freddy betrays him, and they duke it out in a series of nightmares.

JASON IN SPACE:

Jason X verse; in the distant future (of 2008, lmao), Jason has been captured by the government and is imprisoned for the 200(+) murders that he has committed. Unfortunately, whenever they try to execute him, they find that none of the regular methods work on him -- the most that they can do is sedate him until they can find a suitable method. It was eventually decided that Jason would be cryogenically frozen until they could decide what to do with him; he didn't go down without a fight, but he still wound up frozen for upwards of 400 years alongside an employee at the research site (who he'd been trying to kill at the time). At some point, their cryo-chamber was transported onto a spaceship, and the crew unwittingly revived Jason from cryostasis. This leads to -- you guessed it -- another massacre at the hands of Jason Voorhees.

JASON & FRIENDS:

Affectionately based on this fan-made cartoon; Jason is part of a rag-tag group of reformed murderers and supernatural horrors who just kind of chill together. They stick to a set of rules that prevents them from harming people (or doing anything "inappropriate," courtesy of both Jason's distaste for The Nasty (tm)). Despite being a group of "monsters," they're all pretty friendly -- especially Jason, who was already a sweetheart deep down before casting aside his "villainous" ways.

SAMHAIN

NAME: Samhain (Sam)
HEIGHT: 3'8"
BIRTHDAY: 10/31
GENDER: demiboy
PRONOUNS: he/they
OCCUPATION: mischief-maker, divine punisher

Sam (short for "Samhain") is the embodiment of the spirit of Halloween. Manifesting as a masked "child" in an orange onesie, Sam goes around enforcing his personal rules for the holiday, with dire consequences for those who decide to break them. His rules include:1) Always give candy to trick-or-treaters.
2) Always wear a costume.
3) Never extinguish the flame of a Jack O'Lantern before midnight.
4) Respect the dead.
Although Sam inflicts harsh and brutal punishments on those who would choose to break the rules, he is also magnanimous; if somebody he initially planned on disciplining changes their ways by the end of the night, he might just spare them. He's nice like that. Otherwise, you're pretty much dead -- he doesn't hesitate when you disrespect his holiday.

ABILITIES:

🎃 Teleportation:Sam can teleport where he needs to be at any given time; he likes to watch events unfold, and ensure that his favorite holiday is going as planned.🎃 Telekinesis:Sam can move objects with his mind if he so chooses. This really helps if he gets himself into a bind, or if he just wants to spook someone silly.🎃 Pyrokinesis:Sam can also set fires supernaturally, with just the power of his mind. He likes to use this ability to re-light Jack O'Lanterns, even after he's killed the people who extinguished their flames.🎃 Necromancy:Sam can raise the dead as zombies; they don't necessarily do his bidding, but he knows what he's doing. He only raises corpses that will get a job done for him (i.e. getting revenge on someone who killed them).🎃 Strength:Despite appearances, Sam possesses supernatural strength, and can snap a grown ass man's arm like a twig.🎃 Scaling Walls:Sam can climb on walls and ceilings; this is mostly a trick he uses in conjunction with killing people, but he also thinks it's really, really funny to climb on a wall and twist his head all the way around just to scare regular people.🎃 Immortality:Being the physical representation of a Celtic holiday, Sam is inherently immortal. Nothing can hurt him, though he can be stunned, and he can't ever really "die."

HEADCANONS & TRIVIA:

  • There actually isn't a regular kid's face beneath Sam's mask -- there's just an alien-looking pumpkin head. He's Halloween through-and-through.

  • Sam is selectively mute; it is incredibly rare to provoke a verbal response from him, and about the only time you can hear his “voice” is when he giggles insidiously, usually while killing/harming/pranking somebody.

SAMHAIN VERSES

TRICK OR TREAT:

Main verse; Sam shows up every Halloween, wherever and whenever he is needed, to enforce his rules. If you slip up, he gets ya! Otherwise, he generally just hangs around and vibes...or causes a little mayhem, just for kicks.

EVERY DAY IS HALLOWEEN:

A spin on Sam's main verse, in which Sam isn't restricted to showing up exclusively on Halloween night. He can show up anytime, but Halloween is the only day on which he can only inflict punishments for breaking his rules. This gives him some leeway to have fun and pull pranks for the rest of the year.

THAT'S THE LIFE OF A SPOOKY BOY:

A verse in which Sam is just a regular kid; he has what other children consider to be a bizarre obsession with Halloween, and is constantly dressed up for it (mask and all). Needless to say, he is a bit of an outcast and is teased relentlessly by his peers.

JASON & FRIENDS:

Affectionately based on this fan-made cartoon; Sam is part of a rag-tag group of reformed murderers and supernatural horrors who just kind of chill together. They stick to a set of rules that prevents them from harming people (or doing anything "inappropriate," courtesy of both Jason's distaste for The Nasty (tm)). Despite being a group of "monsters," they're all pretty friendly, although Sam still likes to get up to his usual brand of mischief.

TIFFANY VALENTINE

NAME: Tiffany Valentine
HEIGHT: 5'7" (human), 2'5" (doll)
BIRTHDAY: 12/5/1967
GENDER: female
PRONOUNS: she/her
ORIENTATION: bisexual
OCCUPATION: "actress," killer, mother

Tiffany Valentine is Charles Lee Ray's on-and-off again girlfriend and eventual wife. In her own words, she's been a "prisoner" of Chucky's love for as long as she's known him.Tiffany first captured Chucky's attention through a passion they both share: murder. Tiffany was particularly vulnerable to Charles' charms because of her unabashed attraction to criminals; similarly, Tiffany was so quick to follow and commit murder alongside him that he, too, was smitten.Charles was eventually found and killed by police. Tiffany, however, knew that Charles was still out there somewhere -- she'd never been fully indoctrinated into the voodoo that Chucky practiced, but she knew he wouldn't just lie down and die. She devoted herself to finding his new vessel after she found a ring on his mantle, assuming that it was meant for her. She'd always fantasized about marrying Charles and starting a family; knowing that he might have been mere days away from proposing haunted her.(Un)fortunately, she did find him; she patched up his vessel and called on Damballa to revive him. This proved successful, but once Chucky was alive and well, he laughed in her face at the notion that he wanted to settle down with her. This broke her for the umpteenth time -- she immediately took to locking Chucky away and tormenting him. This eventually culminated in Tiffany being killed by Chucky. To add insult to injury, he then put her soul into a bridal doll, forcing her to share his pain.Despite their many arguments and differences, the two of them reconciled after a series of gruesome and creative murders -- all of which rejuvenated their love for one another. They even conceived a hideous baby, which was an absolute delight for Tiffany, but a special kind of Hell for Chucky. No matter how much she wants to have a perfect family and be a perfect mother, she will always be far from it.

ABILITIES:

🎃 The Power of Voodoo:(Who do? You do!) Tiffany is still a novice practitioner in the art of Haitian voodoo -- she still has to rely on "Voodoo for Dummies" -- but she has enough knowledge to transfer herself into another vessel, and that's enough for her.🎃 Durability:In her doll form, Tiffany can take a beating -- even after being burned alive, she comes back kicking and screaming.

HEADCANONS & TRIVIA:

  • Tiffany likely has some form of Hybristophilia (a sexual attraction towards criminal offenders).

  • Tiffany thinks of killing as an addiction; she even tries to quit cold turkey for her darling child, but fails miserably.

  • Flawed as she is, Tiffany really does have the best intentions for her family. She has genuine love in her heart for her kids and Chucky.

TIFFANY VALENTINE VERSES

BRIDE OF CHUCKY:

Tiffany finally revives Chucky and lives (or rather, dies) to regret it. She and Chucky go on a wild adventure to secure new vessels for themselves.

SEED OF CHUCKY:

Tiffany learns that hers and Chucky's unprotected sex led to them having a "beautiful" baby. She convinces herself that they are a beautiful little girl and sets off to find vessels for the whole family.Tiffany winds up taking Jennifer Tilly's body, while Glen and Glenda possess Jennifer's twins. She goes on to raise them as a single mother.

CURSE OF CHUCKY:

Although Tiffany's screentime is woefully small in this & "Cult of Chucky," she's still present enough to reveal herself as Chucky's assistant. They may not necessarily be "together" anymore, but Tiffany is very much complicit in his crimes.

CHUCKY:

Default verse; Tiffany, in Jennifer Tilly's body, acts as a single mother to Glen and Glenda. She ALSO commits a number of crimes behind their backs, continuing to find a thrill in murder. She also develops VERY one-sided feelings for a previous victim of Chucky's, going as far as to kidnap her and even amputate her limbs so she can't escape.

GLEN & GLENDA

NAME: Glen(da) Ray
HEIGHT: 5'2" (human), 2'0" (doll)
BIRTHDAY: 11/12/1998
GENDER: nonbinary
PRONOUNS: they/them
OCCUPATION: baby

Glen started out as a doll who was clueless about their identity; they were born in a cemetery with nothing to their name except for a mysterious amulet. They were "adopted" by a ventriloquist who used their ability to walk and talk to his advantage, but he treated them horribly. Having nowhere else to go, though, Glen pushed through the pain...until they saw a broadcast with their parents as the stars.Glen left their abusive environment the first chance they got, hoping to find the perfect family they'd always dreamed of. Reality wasn't so pretty, unfortunately.Realizing that their parents were both killers, Glen went through a bit of a crisis -- they couldn't stand the killing and begged for their parents to stop. Tiffany gladly agreed to "quit cold turkey" for the sake of their child, and Chucky reluctantly agreed to do the same (which was obviously a lie). While Tiffany tried to secure vessels for herself, Chucky, and Glen / Glenda (their parents disagreed on their gender), Chucky took Glen out to go "hunting." This resulted in Glen committing an accidental murder; their father's pride in this act only further traumatized and confused them.Over time, Glen wound up snapping and revealing another side of themselves -- Glenda, a "feminine" counterpart who gladly partook in murder. Tiffany and Chucky were both profoundly confused by this sudden shift in their child's personality, but took it to mean that there were two souls inside of Glen's body. When Tiffany acquired new vessels for them via a surrogate pregnancy, she was thrilled that twins were birthed -- a boy and a girl, the perfect compromise after the arguments she and Chucky had about Glen's gender. Glen was officially split between two bodies: Glen and Glenda.Over time, the two of them came to reject the norms of their respective genders and found that they didn't agree with the labels placed on either of them. Although them identifying as nonbinary was a bit confusing for Tiffany (who raised the twins on her own), she accepted them with open arms.Alas, their world is far from normal or perfect; they love their mom, but they continue to have more and more questions about themselves and their identity. Who and what are they? Why do they have memories of being a doll -- of being killers, at that? Are those just dreams...or something more?

HEADCANONS & TRIVIA:

  • Glenda is implied to be a dead twin who subsequently possessed Glen, but I prefer to think of them as a suppressed part of Glen. The two of them express feeling "incomplete" until they can be combined into the same vessel again. Glenda IS a part of Glen. The only difference is the name.

  • Glen was originally referred to as genderfluid by Chucky, but they later on confirm that they are nonbinary. I'm sticking to that.

GLEN & GLENDA VERSES

SEED OF CHUCKY:

Glen goes from one shitty situation to another when they venture to find their parents; much to their disappointment and heartache, they are both killers who show little-to-no remorse for their crimes.

CHUCKY:

Default verse; Glen and Glenda, now in separate bodies, are born to Jennifer Tilly and suffer from quite a bit of memory loss and confusion about who they are.

LEANNE GRAYSON

NAME: Leanne Grayson
HEIGHT: 5'7"
BIRTHDAY: 4/15/1999
AGE: 21
GENDER: female
PRONOUNS: she/her
ORIENTATION: bisexual
OCCUPATION: cultist; live-in nanny

Leanne was the child of a "pageant mom," whom was just as abusive as you'd think. Her mother was overly critical of every little thing Leanne did, from dancing to her appearance. In many ways, Leanne's mother loved herself more than anyone else.As a result of her mother's abuse, Leanne finds herself clinging to strangers that show her any ounce of affection. When she was eight, a reporter named Dorothy Turner interviewed her at a pageant; this single event was the foundation of an unhealthy, one-sided attachment. Dorothy was kind and motherly, to a point that Leanne started admiring her as a motherly figure. This feeling was not reciprocated; Leanne was the subject of only one interview, after all.Shortly after this pageant, Leanne perished in a house fire; this fire was one that she herself set, a means of freeing herself from her abusive home.Death wasn't the end, however. Leanne was resurrected by the members of "The Church of the Lesser Saints." This church was absolutely a cult, albeit one that had some credence to it. Her religion held great power, including (as mentioned) reviving people from the dead. Leanne herself was one of the more powerful followers of the cult, perhaps because she was viewed as one of God's chosen. She is referred to almost like an ethereal being at times. The Church of the Lesser Saints was a mixed bag for Leanne. She was a devoted follower, of course, but the religion instilled many self-harming behaviors. Guilt and shame were at the core of their religion, and it was believed that harming yourself would be a means of earning God's forgiveness. Despite this, the church was magnanimous and charitable. They shared their gifts with those who were worthy.Leanne participated in these charitable acts, but she drifted from the church when she heard about a very specific tragedy. Dorothy Turner -- the woman that Leanne had always considered a mother -- lost her child in an accident. Hearing that her mother figure was in a dissociative fugue, unable to cope with the loss, Leanne knew what to do. As it turned out, the Turners were using a realistic doll to trick Dorothy into believing that her baby was still alive...and they were looking for a nanny to further convince Dorothy. Leanne knew it was her time to strike. This was how she'd get her "mother" to notice her again.Leanne becomes the Turners' nanny. She even treats the doll like it's a living thing, using baby talk, changing its diapers, and tucking it in for bed. The Turners (the husband, Sean, especially) couldn't be more pleased. And then...Leanne brings the baby back to life, the same way she'd been revived. The baby is also tethered to Leanne's presence, presumably as "insurance;" if Leanne goes, the baby goes. Sean (Dorothy's husband) and Julian (Dorothy's brother) slowly come to accept the presence of this baby, no matter the circumstances that brought it here. They're just happy to have him back. But Leanne's presence at the Turners' home isn't approved by her church. Leanne slowly becomes an enemy of the church, as she refuses to return...and her resistance causes her power to grow.

ABILITIES:

🎃 Resurrection:Leanne inherits the ability to revive the dead from The Church of the Lesser Saints. When a person is revived, they are able to age and grow like an ordinary human being. They can also roam wherever they want. The reason that Dorothy's baby "follows" Leanne is so Leanne has a means of convincing the Turners to keep her around.🎃 Rituals and Curses:Leanne possesses the knowledge to perform all sorts of rituals, including those that would harm others.🎃 Manifestation:This is usually a subconscious ability of Leanne's. When Leanne is upset, a storm hits; when Leanne is happy, the weather is perfect and sunny. Her gradual fall from grace as she embraces these abilities also have an effect on her environment. The Turners' house and its foundation become cracked the more that Leanne uses her powers, for example.

HEADCANONS & TRIVIA:

  • to be added!

LEANNE GRAYSON VERSES

BEAUTY AND DISGRACE:

Verse for Leanne's childhood years.

REBORN:

A verse for Leanne's "rebirth," which leads to her becoming a devotee of The Church of Lesser Saints.

FALLEN:

A verse for Leanne's fall from grace; she abandons the cult and kills any followers who come after her, and her powers begin to grow...at a cost.

ALESSA GILLESPIE

NAME: Alessa Gillespie
HEIGHT: 5'2"
BIRTHDAY: 10/13/1983
AGE: 7 (Origins); 14 (Silent Hill)
GENDER: female
PRONOUNS: she/her
ORIENTATION: grey-romantic asexual
OCCUPATION: cultist

NOTE: Alessa's story is so entombed by triggering topics that I'll just list them here: forced pregnancy (on a minor), emotional and physical abuse, bullying, cults, and suicidal ideation.Alessa is the unfortunate daughter of an abusive religious fanatic. She was raised in the isolated town of Silent Hill while it was still a popular tourist destination, and in that time, a small cult known as "The Order" got its start -- and Alessa’s mother, Dahlia Gillespie, was the ringleader. The cult’s beliefs were ludicrous at best, and sadistic at worst. They believed that one day, a young girl would be impregnated with their God, and then their God would cleanse the world in Hellfire. All sin would be eradicated, and with it, humanity. The pregnancy would need to be forced via cultist rituals, and unfortunately, The Order didn't hesitate to try their methods on unsuspecting tourists. For better or worse, these attempts never worked. Then Alessa was born...and Dahlia set her sights on her.Alessa was raised to be fertile “God fodder;” nothing more, nothing less. She was to be used for her womb, and her mother ensured that she was aware of this fact from the moment she was born. Being the daughter of Dahlia Gillespie herself, Alessa also possessed strong spiritual powers; this encouraged her mother, who was reassured that their eventual ritual would be a success. In contrast, when Alessa's schoolmates witnessed her power, they labeled her a "witch" and bullied her relentlessly. When Alessa sought solace or affection from her mother, she was beaten. Alessa was alone in a world that abused her every single day. To say her childhood was tragic would be an understatement. When Alessa was only seven, her mother performed the impregnation ritual on her. This attempt resulted in their house burning down. Miraculously, Alessa survived, and although she was covered in burns, they didn’t even pierce her epidermis. Unfortunately...the ritual was a success.Desperate to see her mother fail, Alessa split her soul in half (with some outside help); her newborn half was a literal infant, which was then found and adopted by a couple passing by. Alessa's efforts disrupted Dahlia’s plans for a long time. Alas, Dahlia wasn't deterred. Dahlia endeavored to reunite the lost half of Alessa’s soul, convinced that her daughter would be the one to birth their God once she was complete. Dahlia kept her daughter in a state of excruciating pain and even gave her hallucinogenic drugs, hoping that Alessa's agony would beckon her other half.Rather than submit, Alessa decided to interfere again. She herself summoned her other half to the town and reunited with her; her intent was to kill herself afterwards, thus making it impossible for The Order's God to be born. When she merged with Cheryl (her other half), her latent abilities conjured the infamous fog of Silent Hill and the nightmarish Otherworld, all in an effort to prevent her mother from fulfilling The Order's prophecy. In the end, Dahlia does wind up capturing Alessa and forcing the birth of their God, but it backfires. The deity birthed by Alessa kills Dahlia. Once it is defeated by Harry Mason (Cheryl's father), Alessa's spirit returns and hands him another newborn. This time, it contains both halves of Alessa's soul.Alessa and Cheryl are effectively reborn as Heather Mason, and both halves finally get to live the life Alessa always wanted.

ABILITIES:

🎃 Astral Projection:The ability to project yourself out of your own body. Alessa possesses a stronger version of this power, even manifesting herself in reality (usually as her old self without all the scars). This ability is often used as a sort of escapism.🎃 Telekinesis:Alessa and her projected self are able to move things telekinetically; she can even muster enough force to shove someone or create a forcefield.🎃 Pyrokinesis:Alessa can summon waves of fire, light objects ablaze, and control existing fires (even extinguishing them when the need arises).

HEADCANONS & TRIVIA:

  • Many of the monsters in Silent Hill were based on Alessa's own fears.

  • Despite her upbringing, Alessa still had the innocence of a child. She dreamed of a happy, peaceful world where she had a loving family.

  • Alessa had only one friend: Claudia, another child indoctrinated by the cult. She loved Claudia and considered her a sister.

  • Alessa's favorite books are "The Lost World" and "Alice's Adventures in Wonderland."

ALESSA GILLESPIE VERSES

I WANT LOVE:

A verse for the timelines of Silent Hill and Silent Hill: Origins. Alessa is an ostracized child with an abusive and controlling mother.

THE HOLES WILL STILL REMAIN:

An AU verse for Silent Hill 3 in which Alessa's half is more prevalent in Heather.

HARRY MASON

NAME: Harry Mason
HEIGHT: 6'1"
BIRTHDAY: 8/20/1953
AGE: 32 (Silent Hill); 49 (Silent Hill 3)
GENDER: male
PRONOUNS: he/him
ORIENTATION: bisexual
OCCUPATION: writer

Harry Mason is a doting father who would risk anything for his (adopted) daughter. Harry found his daughter, Cheryl, as a newborn abandoned on the side of the road. Harry ultimately wound up becoming a single father after his wife passed, so Cheryl became his everything. Cheryl even managed to convince Harry to return to Silent Hill for a vacation...but this vacation wound up being a living Hell.Harry crashed his car just after he entered the town, and Cheryl went missing quickly after. Harry later regained consciousness in Cafe 5to2 and was greeted by Cybil Bennet, a police officer who offered to help him find his daughter. Harry devoted himself to this cause, running across the entire town and even surviving the Otherworld for the sake of his daughter.Along the way, Harry encountered Dahlia Gillespie, a leader of a religious cult known as “The Order.” Unbeknownst to him, Dahlia's intentions were malicious, and he wound up falling into a trap to help her birth The Order’s God. Dahlia's plan succeeded, and Alessa (her daughter) birthed a God...which wound up killing Dahlia. After Harry fought this deity, the spirit of Alessa handed him a reborn version of his daughter. He hesitated to take this child, as she was the result of his precious daughter merging with Alessa, a girl who was quite literally demonized by her mother. Dahlia had convinced Harry that Alessa was a “demon” (even though it was her daughter, who was a good person at heart). Because of Dahlia's manipulations, Harry believed that Alessa was the one who put him through this Hell and robbed him of his daughter.Even so, Harry accepted the newborn and raised it as his own, just as he did with Cheryl. He never realized just how much that gesture meant for Alessa's half, as she'd never had a loving home with good parents. Before being subjected to the horrors of Silent Hill, Harry was an average, somewhat reclusive non-fiction writer. He’s also rather perceptive and a quick thinker, which definitely helped him with the puzzles scattered throughout Silent Hill. In his later years, Harry became paranoid and a "worrywart"...which is understandable, given everything he's been through.

HARRY MASON VERSES

SHE'S GONE AND FEAR HAS OVERCOME:

A verse for Silent Hill, as well as Harry's years before he faced the horrors.

NO MORE STORIES FROM HIM:

Silent Hill 3 verse; Harry raises his second daughter with the same love and care as his first one.

ERIKO CHRISTY

NAME: Eriko Christy
HEIGHT: 5'5"
BIRTHDAY: 10/13/1983
AGE: 18
GENDER: female
PRONOUNS: she/her
ORIENTATION: grey-romantic asexual
OCCUPATION: head of the horror movie research club

Eriko Christy was raised in a horrifying household; her father was a pioneer in horror attractions, and her very first home was a traveling horror caravan. Her father would even use her as a prop to test out his tricks and scares, and subject her to horror movies on a nightly basis -- eventually, these traumatic experiences caused her to "lose" her sense of fear around the age of five. Finally, at the age of eight, her parents divorced; she never heard from her father again, but his influence didn't disappear. She continued to invest her time in horror, seeking a scare that might finally bring her back to her senses. Feeling numb was worse than feeling scared, now that she was no longer in constant danger.Although she never succeeded in her efforts, she did wind up becoming an expert in everything spooky and scary, and even found her own passion in the genre. When she was 16, she appeared on a TV quiz show featuring horror movies and won; at 17, she starred in "KillerMan VII: KillerMan Goes to Japan." Now, at 18, she's the head of the Horror Movie Research Club at her high school.

HEADCANONS & TRIVIA:

  • Her birthday is probably a great source of disappointment for her father; not only was October 13, 1983 NOT a Friday, but she was SO CLOSE to being born on Halloween.

  • Eriko does startle, and can be caught offguard, but it is impossible to genuinely scare her. While some might be jealous of this ability, she feels broken because of it.

  • Because Eriko is unable to experience fear, she also doesn't experience stage fright; this makes her a perfect fit in the acting world, and it's also why she has a talent for speeches.

ERIKO CHRISTY VERSES

THE HORROR CARAVAN:

Takes place throughout Eriko's traumatic childhood, during which she was practically raised on horror.

THE HORROR BUFF:

Having lost her sense of fear, Eriko becomes a horror buff, and a bonafide expert on all things spooky. She even starts a horror movie-related club at her school, and has even starred in one of the KillerMan movies.

THE FINAL GIRL:

Eriko and her friends are invited to partake in Illbleed, a virtual horror land -- unbeknownst to them, the danger posed in Illbleed is very, very real. Eriko is the only one who rejects the invite, but she is eventually reeled in when each of her friends wind up missing for several days.

THE NIGHT GUARD:

Obligatory FNAF verse! Eriko grew up in the Fazbear era, having been born shortly after Fredbear's Family Diner closed down. Her father only ever allowed her to visit the pizzerias because they had an inherent horror element to them -- and because he wanted to see the blood and mucus leaking from the mascots for himself. Scarily enough, he also encouraged Eriko to approach the suited performers, on the off chance that they would attempt to hurt her. He had enough faith in her ability to defend herself (thanks to her constant subjugation to anything & everything horror) that he believed she would escape.By the time her parents separated, the Freddy's franchise was dead. Its only remaining restaurant closed down in 1993, and rumors of killers and haunted animatronics spread like wildfire after the fact.Cut to 2023, and suddenly, everything "Freddy's" is heating up again. There's even a horror attraction based on the ghost stories -- suffice it to say, Eriko was the first on the scene, and the first to apply for a position there. With her impressive (& horrific) resume, she secured the position easily -- and now, she gets to play the role of the night guard. Thankfully, nothing in Fazbear's Fright is an actual threat...that is, until they bring in "a real animatronic."

HERE WE ARE, BLEEDING:

A silly verse for crack shenanigans.

DONNA

NAME: Donna
HEIGHT: 5'7"
BIRTHDAY: 10/4/1962
AGE: 58
GENDER: female
PRONOUNS: she/her
ORIENTATION: greysexual
OCCUPATION: hermit

NOTE: Product's videos contain triggering content; watch at your own risk. Fortunately, Donna is one of the tamer characters in the Product-verse. The only real triggers that apply here are addiction, smoking, and vague mentions of childhood trauma. To put it in her own words, Donna has been smoking since the womb -- secondhand, obviously. Donna's memories of her mother almost entirely consist of her chainsmoking habits; Donna and her sister, Prudence, were always "secondhanding." This constant presence in their lives continued to affect them long after they moved out, and in Donna's case, she chose to dedicate herself to her addiction and nothing else.Despite what those in her life might say, her decision to isolate herself wasn't selfish. To quote her again, "you're either a smoker or a mother, so decide when you're young and stick with it." Donna has firsthand experience with a deadly addiction being passed onto children. Part of her hatred towards children is borne of a desire to protect them. She has admittedly considered becoming a mom, after all...but she decided against it because of the life she was born into.Another thing you must know about Dirty Donna is that she becomes a monster when she experiences withdrawal. She shakes, she becomes violent, she gets manic, she panics...and she blacks out.

HEADCANONS & TRIVIA:

  • Prudence and Donna have a strained relationship, to say the least. Prudence refers to her sister as a "rat" and a "monster," and Donna openly claims to hate her sister.

  • Prudence seems to harbor a grudge against Donna for her addiction. While speaking with her husband, she bitterly comments that cigarettes are "the only thing in this world [Donna] ever cares about."

  • Donna's all-time record for time spent not smoking is about four hours.

  • Donna's cigarette brand of choice is revealed to contain illegal substances that cause hallucinations and violent outbursts, which is important to consider when examining her reckless behavior.

VERSES

SMOKING SINCE THE WOMB:

A verse that precedes the events of "Dirty Donna," which basically means that she's stable...but also incredibly isolated.

YOU'RE EITHER A SMOKER OR A MOTHER:

"Dirty Donna" verse; Donna begins to spiral when her favorite brand of cigarettes is recalled.

NEVERMIND. THAT WAS THE OLD ME:

Post-"Dirty Donna" verse; Donna is back to normal, if not better, with a collection of cigarettes that will last her a lifetime. On top of that, she becomes a second mother to Olivia, fulfilling her old desire to be a mother while keeping her "daughter" away from cigarettes.

MELANCHOLY

NAME: Melancholy
HEIGHT: 5'9"
BIRTHDAY: 6/6/1977
AGE: 28
GENDER: female
PRONOUNS: she/her
ORIENTATION: bisexual
OCCUPATION: icon

NOTE: Product's videos contain triggering content; watch at your own risk. Additionally, Melancholy is a character in of one of Product's many "fever dream" videos, so most of her character is up for interpretation. The only trigger here is a vague mention of child abuse.Melancholy is an absolute enigma of a woman. Her profile on "Hollow Hearts," a dating site, says it all. Her parents "beat her enough to change her permanently," her hobby is "visiting the dairy aisle and seeing a picture of her waist on a milk carton," and her "about me" says that "everything tends to be."I would equate Melancholy to a "manic pixie dream girl," but her quirks are more disconcerting than attractive. She insists on lapping up milk from a dinner table "like a stray cat," then follows that request up with "I'm severely lactose intolerant, but I'm going to do this for you because I like you." In other words, she's the sort of person to hold something over you even though she is the instigator. To add onto her problematic views, she claims that love is all about "changing yourself so the other person will like you," but she doesn't seem to follow that rule herself. She instead wants other people to change for her.Basically, Melancholy views herself as someone who should be on a pedestal. At the risk of sounding a bit cringe(TM), she's sexy and she knows it.On top of her "manic pixie dream girl" status, she reminds me of a succubus...so for my blog's purposes, that's exactly what she is. Her method of luring men in is through online dating, and during said dates, she acts however she wants because she knows that her powers of seduction are stronger than her flaws. As implied above, she is toxic to her partners, effectively draining them of their energy while also making sure they can't and don't want to leave her. When her partners are completely depleted of energy, she feasts on them like a vampire.Frankly, interact with her at your own risk.

HEADCANONS & TRIVIA:

  • To make actual character comparisons here, think of Jennifer from "Jennifer's Body" and Catherine from "Catherine." Wow, everything really is about them, isn't it?

VERSES

HOLLOW HEARTS:

Default and only (for now) verse; Melancholy is a succubus who hunts for her victims through online dating forums.

SOLESKISS

NAME: Soleskiss
HEIGHT: 4'5"
BIRTHDAY: 7/13/19XX
AGE: 13-18
GENDER: female
PRONOUNS: she/her
OCCUPATION: haunter of the narrative

NOTE: Product's videos contain triggering content; watch at your own risk. Soleskiss is a character who is mostly present in Product's "fever dream" videos, but she originates from a members-only short film called "Belladonna," which is going to be the basis for my interpretation of her character. Trigger warnings include: domestic abuse, emotional abuse, and animal abuse.Soleskiss's first appearance is in the short film "Belladonna." As this video is for members only, I will briefly describe Soleskiss's role here: Soleskiss is a famous actress/singer. She has three albums and is working on another that is, in her words, meant to show people how sexy she is. (Think Sarah Lynn's introduction in BoJack Horseman.) Many of Soleskiss's songs also refer to someone named Stalseroy, whom is revealed to be an ex-boyfriend who was abusive to her. She's also considerate and brave enough to visit aforementioned ex, not to speak with him, but to make sure that his current girlfriend is safe.Bear all of this in mind because my interpretation hinges on this information.Soleskiss is a girl who haunts the narrative of Product's videos. Her personality and actions vary wildly between each of her appearances. In "Giving My Turtle a Haircut," Soleskiss goes from cutting her turtle's head off to dancing like she's in a thirst-Tok. She berates another child for "not sitting like a grown-up," then becomes existential and woefully describes how they're going to have to grow up and become adults. In "Bathwater for Sale" (this one's gruesome, so I won't link it here), Soleskiss is downright verbally abusive. She is constantly throwing insults and jabs at another child, but she's simultaneously this kid's only friend. The last video I'll mention is "Creepy Man Boy," in which Soleskiss is a matchmaker for a creepy man boy. This appearance is surprisingly lighthearted, and she even insists on helping someone she herself describes as creepy. My interpretation of Soleskiss is that she is indeed a ghost of sorts. Her appearances and personas are extremely inconsistent, but they are all her. I believe that these different personas relate to specific time periods in her life. "Belladonna" is the only video where she is alive. All appearances afterwards showcase different times from her life. To put together a vague timeline, "Creepy Man Boy" shows Soleskiss as an innocent kid who wants to help a friend; "Cold Grandma" shows Soleskiss getting discovered as an actress/singer; "Giving My Turtle a Haircut" is Soleskiss's existential period between her teenagehood and adulthood; and "Bathwater for Sale" shows her at her worst, when she is perpetuating her personal cycle of abuse. In short, Soleskiss is a ghost who is stuck cycling through her life in the afterlife. She isn't consistent. She exists in a void. She haunts the narrative with her own narrative.

HEADCANONS & TRIVIA:

  • It's safe to say that much of my interpretation of Soleskiss is inspired by Reina from Tokyo Dark. Basically, both of them exist in the world when they shouldn't, and both of them influence a greater overarching story.

VERSES

BELLADONNA:

A verse for Soleskiss when she was alive; she's a child star who is now coming into her own by embracing her "sexiness" at the age of 18.

DON'T YOU WISH THAT YOU COULD STAY A KID FOREVER?:

"Ghost" verse; Soleskiss manifests as her childhood self, kind (to an extent) while facing existential dread. She can be a bully, but when compared to her other ghost self, she's a saint.

THE CYCLE OF ABUSE:

Another ghost verse; this Soleskiss is abusive, demeaning, and chaotic. She hurts everyone around her until they snap.

MOTHER

NAME: Mother.
HEIGHT: 5'6"
BIRTHDAY: 10/13/1922
AGE: 40
GENDER: female
PRONOUNS: she/her
ORIENTATION: bisexual
OCCUPATION: mother

NOTE: Product's videos contain triggering content; watch at your own risk. "Mother" in particular is a graphic depiction of child abuse, so please consider that before watching. Applicable triggers for this page include: child abuse, kidnapping, smoking, and a vague mention of child sexual abuse.Mother's identity revolves around exactly what you think it would; her daughter, Alice, is her entire world. She never refers to herself as anything but "mother," and is often offended when other people shorten that name to "mom." Basically, she has no identity outside of being Alice's mother, but that's exactly what Mother wants. The film "Alice" reveals what Mother was like prior to the events of "Mother." For the sake of remaining chronological, I'll start with Mother's personality in "Alice."Mother is precisely what a traditional wife of her era (1962) would be; a doting stay-at-home mother and a loving wife. She prepares the meals, cleans the house, and is Alice's primary caretaker. Comparatively, her husband, David, is a toxic homewrecker...in more ways than one. Aside from cheating on Mother with countless girls for at least two years, he exhibits some dark behavior when he drinks. If the clip at the end of "Creepy Man Boy" is anything to go by, then Alice might have been a victim herself. To give Mother some credit, she interferes with and shuts down David's inappropriate behavior, which hopefully means that Alice has always been protected by her.Mother's final straw with David is when his "girlfriend" of two years, Tiffany, shows up at her doorstep. Tiffany has been dating David for two years and even has the same necklace as Mother, which was originally gifted to her by David. David soon returns as Mother is speaking with Tiffany, which prompts Mother to finally start confronting David and Tiffany. Mother insists on Tiffany staying for dinner out of spite, but ultimately, Tiffany and David leave together after a long, long argument.Alice comes downstairs after witnessing her father's departure, and to protect her from the truth, Mother claims that David is just "sleeping over at a friend's house." Contrary to the film "Mother," she is particularly affectionate and warm towards Alice, even treating her to pie. She even caves and let Alice play with her friend Phoebe on a playground at "1 AM in the goddamn morning." The latter would soon become Mother's worst mistake.Mother falls asleep while watching the girls play, but is awoken by a loud, metallic "thunk." Mother scrambles over to the playground's metal slide, fearfully screaming her daughter's name...but Alice is gravely injured. Mother sobs, holding her daughter and screaming "what did you do!?" at Phoebe, clearly blaming the poor girl for Alice's injury.Instead of taking Alice to a hospital, Mother brings Alice home and lies her down. Mother insists that she will fix this and that everything is going to be okay...but obviously, her pride gets the better of her. A mother's care is no replacement for a doctor's.Mother, who has reverted to her old smoking habits, goes on a bit of a rampage while her daughter slowly dies. She kills the neighbors because they "kept looking at her," and when Phoebe visits to check in on Alice, Mother prevents her from leaving. She then hosts a "killer sleepover" between her dead daughter and Phoebe as though everything is normal...all to make Alice's death feel like it wasn't her fault. Instead, it would all be Phoebe's fault -- after all, Mother invited her to a sleepover, and now Alice is dead!Mother disposes of Alice's body, and from hereon, her behavior is identical to what is depicted in the film "Mother." She effectively kidnaps Phoebe and slowly succumbs to both punishing Phoebe and pretending that her daughter is still alive. Mother only becomes abusive when her daughter is replaced by her daughter's supposed killer. Obviously, that's no excuse to abuse a child, but in Mother's mind, this is precisely what Phoebe deserves. She takes every opportunity to hurt Phoebe; starving her, physically hurting her, and punishing her by throwing her in the basement. This all culminates in the events of "Mother," wherein Phoebe/"Alice" dies and Mother "fixes" her by deluding herself into thinking that "Alice" is still alive.

HEADCANONS & TRIVIA:

  • Mother smokes the same brand of cigarettes as Donna, meaning that her delusions and anger might be a side effect of her smoking. She starts smoking again after David leaves with Tiffany, which coincides with her delusions and violent episodes later on.

  • Mother was never, ever abusive to her original daughter. As mentioned above, she even protects Alice. In the film "Alice," her love for her daughter is apparent.

  • Mother's obsession with weight and "staying skinny" only becomes prevalent when she replaces Alice with Phoebe; this might even be a projection of the way she starves Phoebe.

  • In "Mother," Mother's refusal to let David in the house is likely deeper than one might think. Sure, Alice is dead, but Mother is under the illusion that Alice is still alive. She specifically wants to keep David out of the house and away from Alice, not so he doesn't find her corpse, but so he doesn't hurt her when he finds her.

VERSES

MOTHER LOVES YOU...AND YOU KNOW I DO:

A verse for "Alice" and the events prior to it; Mother dotes on her daughter and husband. Her relationship with David becomes strained over the years, but Alice is and always will be Mother's beloved doll.

MOMMY'S GONNA FIX IT:

A verse that takes place after the events of "Alice" and during "Mother." Mother becomes an abusive parent to a daughter who isn't her own.

WHY DID NOBODY HELP HER?:

Post-"Mother" verse; her family is dead, and her home has been burned to the ground. She's lost everything, but she has to keep going...somehow.
